Donald Trump is known for his overly aggressive handshakes and French President Emmanuel Macron wasn’t having any of it while world leaders met in Canada for the G7 summit. Macron showed Trump once again that he will win this game — so he squeezed the former reality show star’s hand so hard that it left the French President’s finger imprinted on Trump’s hand. Trump was left with what looked like a disfigured hand.
Trump, famous for his forceful handshake, has become a victim of Emmanuel Macron. See how the French left his mark on poor Donald’s hand. Force is strong with this one. pic.twitter.com/eeEhl2BTj0

This looks pretty painful.

And he did it again.
How did this all go down? Welp, a reporter jokingly asked if the two would arm wrestle.
“Arm wrestling? He’d be very, very tough,” Trump was heard saying before pointing to Macron. “He’s my friend. We’ve had a great relationship right from the beginning,” then Macron extended his hand to deliver another powerful grip.
This isn’t the first time Macron has done this. Last year when Trump met Macron for the first time, the two men shook hands for six long seconds. The handshake was so aggressive that their knuckles turned white, their jaws clenched and their faces tightened. Trump reached in first as he always does, but then he tried to release, not once but twice, but Macron kept his grip before letting go.
Macron later admitted that it was intentional.
“One must show that you won’t make small concessions, even symbolic ones, but also not over-publicize things, either,” he said at the time. Macron was not going to play with Trump today.
Bravo, Monsieur le President.
